The first part of this publication will explore five public school alternatives to neighborhood schools: school transfers; magnet schools; charter schools; virtual schools, and alternative schools. The second part will look at three ways in which Oklahoma allows public dollars to be used to support private schools: Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarships; Equal Opportunity Scholarships; and Parental Choice Tax Credits. It also includes a new section exploring current federal support for school choice. The third part will look briefly at homeschooling.
